Prospex is one of Japanese watchmaker Seiko’s flagship lines. This excellent collection focuses on diving clocks, sports chronographs, and tool watches for outdoor activities. Seiko Prospex Sea
The Seiko Prospex series dates back to 1965, when the company released its first diver’s watch. Seiko Prospex Land

Outdoor tool watches such as the Alpinist and Fieldmaster are available in the Prospex Land line. These men’s automatic Seiko timepieces are water resistant to 200 meters.
The Seiko Prospex Alpinist timepiece comes in two sizes: 38mm and 39.5mm. The Alpinist is powered by the automatic caliber 6R35 and features a trademark dial design with cathedral-style or dauphine hands for the hour and minutes and an arrow-shaped centre seconds hand.
All models in this line are made of stainless steel and include sapphire crystal with a magnifying glass over the date window. They also show the date at 3 p.m. The 39.5mm model has an internal rotating bezel that can be spun bidirectionally using the crown at 4 o’clock. The Alpinist series comes with a leather, metal, or nylon strap.
The Seiko Prospex Fieldmaster has a stainless steel 42mm casing with an external compass bezel and sapphire crystal glass. The watch has an automatic calibre 4R35 and displays the date at 4.30H. It features a screwed-down crown at 4 o’clock, inspired by the design of classic Seiko divers.
The Seiko Prospex Land series is priced between S$650 and S$1150.
Seiko Prospex Speedtimer
The current Speedtimer series was introduced in 2021 as a tribute to the Japanese watchmaking company’s illustrious heritage as a leading manufacturer of precision timing systems for sporting events. This collection of automatic and solar-powered timepieces is inspired by the designs of the brand’s renowned chronograph from 1969.
Seiko prospex speedtimer automatic versions include the SRQ35, SRQ37, SRQ39, SRQ41, and SRQ43. SSC 813, SSC 815, SSC 817, and SSC 819 are the specimens having solar movements. All models in this line are water resistant to 100 meters and have a stainless steel case, two-counter dial design, curved sapphire crystal glass, screwed case-back, and tachymeter scale on the outer dial-ring. The automated version has a 42.5mm diameter case and is equipped with the 8R46 calibre. The Speedtimer solar chronograph is still housed in a 39mm casing.

Seiko Prospex LX
The LX series is the pinnacle of Seiko Prospex’s wide selection. It is made up of titanium spring drive watches. SNR025 and SNR037 (GMT 200m), SNR029 and SNR031 (diver 300m), and SNR033 and SNR035 are important references (GMT 100m).
The titanium case has a 44.8mm diameter and is treated with a super-hard coating to prevent the timepiece from corrosion and scratches. These clocks have sapphire crystal glass, a screwed-down crown, and a screwed-down case-back.
The Prospex LX series watch has a unidirectional or bidirectional (24h or compass) bezel, depending on the edition. The Caliber 5R66 is used to power the GMT models. The Caliber 5R65 is housed in the diver variant. Both spring drive types include a power reserve indicator as well as a date display.
